There will be a brief network disruption this Friday, November 20 at around 9:00 PM as the firmware for our main switch is upgraded. This disruption will only last 5-10 minutes.
All running jobs on CARC clusters (Discovery and Endeavour) will not be affected. Data transfers between CARC file systems will not be affected, and data transfers from your local system to CARC file systems should not be affected if you are running screen and rsync.
This disruption will only affect the login and transfer nodes, i.e., you may not be able to log in or begin a new data transfer during this 5-10 minute period.
