File System IO is extremely slow

I am currently logging into discovery1.usc.edu and my current folder is /scratch1.

As shown in the figure, the file system IO is extremely slow.

  1. ls command takes 0.2 sec to finish.
  2. git status command takes 2 mins 46 sec to respond.

I am wondering whether there exists any issue related with the disk?

The grafana shows that only /scratch1 shuts down? Also, I did not find such file system IO problem under /scratch2 or /home.
