This summer, we’re excited to offer a free, intensive, two-day boot camp instead of our weekly Friday workshops. This boot camp is targeted toward users with some programming experience, but who may have limited or no HPC experience. All sessions are open to current USC students, faculty, and staff and will be offered virtually via Zoom.
Day 1 will be a broader introduction to various topics (Unix shell, data management, software management, etc.), while day 2 will be more advanced (parallel programming, HPC with Python and R) with the ability to attend a Special Topic session (Singularity containers, workflows, biology, chemistry, or natural language processing) of your choosing. There will be five-minute breaks between sessions and an hour-long lunch break midday.
