Come learn about CARC’s new cloud computing platform at our workshop this Friday, February 2nd !
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST: Using Virtual Machines on CARC’s Artemis Cloud Platform
In this workshop, we will discuss the different elements of an HPC cluster in the cloud and the different components involved in creating a scalable cluster. You will learn now to create your first VM using the available templates and how to modify it. Attendees are encouraged to attend the workshop on the basics of cloud computing on AWS before attending this workshop, if possible.
Please note that our workshop times have changed. We are now offering one workshop every Friday from 10 AM – 12 PM PST. We hope that this new schedule makes it easier for more interested students to attend!
There’s also still time to join in on our semester-long workshop series Density Functional Theory Methods Using VASP. This workshop meets every Thursday, 4:00 – 6:00 PM PST.
